Guests here at the Esplanade Hotel Bray have been asking us where are the best places around the Bray and Wiclow area that they can go and visit Santa, so we thought, why not make a list. Christmas Island @ Hidden Valley Holiday Park Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow.
27 NOV 2015 - 23 DEC 2015
The so-called "Christmas Island" was a huge hit last year and so far this year we have been hearing nothing but good things. This is for the people who like a little more than the regular department store Santa. The guys at the Hidden Valley Holiday Park have really pushed the boat out and crated a Christmas Island as well as a North Pole Express train. All children visiting the park get a free gift and the parents can join in with the decoration making. You can also get a family photo and everyone is encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers. Rathdrum is a 30 minutes drive from Bray and us here in the Esplanade Hotel. Santa & Crib @ Bray Town Centre, Co. Wicklow.

There will also be a live crib and a giant Christmas Tree. Entry costs between €12 to €15 and entry is free for adults. The Bray Town Hall is located less than 2km from Esplanade Hotel.
Santa @ Kilruddery House & Gardens, Bray, Co. Wicklow.
05 DEC 2015 - 22 DEC 2015
Kilruddery House & Gardens is a magical setting any time of year but when Santa Claus comes to visit it revs the magic up even more. Mrs Claus warms the children up with a sing-song and some story telling before they visit the man himself. The Elves then help the children make up their own gifts and entertain the children. This is a fantastic Christmas day out for all the family in Bray in 2015. For more information visit the Kilruddery House & Gardens website now. Kilruddery House is located just 6 minutes from us here at Esplanade Hotel Bray.
Santa's Grotto @ Dubndrum Town Centre, Dublin 14.
21 NOV 2015 - 24 DEC 2015
This is like your regular department store Santa with a twist. The twist is the huge waterscreen which plays the tale of Santa and The Skatekeeper every day at 16:40. There is also an ice skating rink at Dundrum so after visiting Santa why not bring the kids for a spot of ice skating. Ice skating at Dundrum will set you back a very reasonable €8. Dundrum Town Centre is located 25 minutes from Bray.
